Biography
He earned his teaching certificate from Victoria Normal School in 1954, as well as a subsequent BA from UBC. He taught in several BC schools (mostly in Victoria) from 1954-1985, including Victoria High School. He served as the President - Post-Polio Awareness and Support Society of BC.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 1950. He served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD 1949-1952. He served in HMCS Chatham 1954-1955. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (RCN(R)). He served in HMCS Malahat 1955-1966. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (RCN(R)) (With seniority dated 19/08/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/01/1964). (He was released in 1966.)
