Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNVR (With seniority dated 16/121915). He served in RNAS Killingholme 1916. He flew as an Observer and then as Pilot; claimed to have flown six months on seaplane patrols on British east coast, seven months in France with No.3 (N) Wing; in April 1917 at RNAS Killingholme, near Grimsby. He served in #6 (N) Wing as of 18/06/1917 and 18/09/1917. He served in Prawle Point in late 1918. (He was demobilized.)
