Biography
After the war, Gregor and his family returned to Montreal. He became a purser on a couple of ships. Between 1920 and 1926, he worked at sea some of the time and spent sometime with his family in Montreal. He eventually stopped returning to Montreal. He took up residence in New York City where he worked over the years at a couple of hotels in Manhattan (New York City). He died of a heart attack in a movie theatre in October, 1944. He died just over a month after his son, Gordon was seriously wounded in Bruges. Gregor is buried in New Jersey.
 
Military Service
(Before taking up his post in Halifax in February, 1917, he had been interviewed on February 5th. 1917, by Admiral Kingsmill. ) He was appointed as Acting Assistant Paymaster RNCVR (With seniority dated 07/02/1917). He served in HMCS Niobe as Additional, for service with the Senior Officer, Patrols, Captain Pasco, R.N.) 1917. He served in HMCS Lansdowne (Sydney NS) as Paymaster 01/05/1918. He served in HMCS Niobe as Paymaster 01/07/1918. He served in HMCS Lansdowne (Sydney NS) (Additional, for coding duties at St. John, N.B.) 28/10/1918. He was appointed as a Paymaster Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1919). (He was demobilized.) He served in HMCS Niobe as Paymaster 1919. (He was demobilized 29/07/1919.)
