Biography
He came from Toronto at the time of his recruitment. During the Second World War he served as the Director of the Merchant Seamen Manning Pool in Montreal QC.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Cadet RNR. In 1906-1907 he attended HMS Conway (Merchant Navy Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Midshipman RNR. (Transferred to RNCVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/02/1916). He served in HMCS Grilse. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 07/08/1917). He served in HMCS Hochelaga (Auxiliary Patrol Ship) 1917. (He was demobilized.) (He was qualified for Navigation duties.)
