He received a private pilots licence in Oakland CA USA. He was killed in action near Hamburg Germany on 28/07/1942.
 
Military Service
He spent several years in the British Columbia Hussars. He enlisted in the RAF 03/1935. He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RAF 1935. He served in a bomber group in Egypt. He received the AFC for experimental flying with the Instrument Armament Defence Flight Experimental Section at RAF Farnborough in 1940. He served at RAF Newmarket for 99 (RAF) Squadron. He was appointed as a Wing Commander RAF. He served in #405 (RAF) Squadron as Commanding Officer1941. He served in #419 (RCAF) Squadron as Commanding Officer. (He was killed in action near Hamburg Germany on 28/07/1942.)
