Biography
He came to Nefoundland from the UK in 1930. He wrote the section in the Official History of the RN dealing with the "Small Boats Pool." Afterwards he was the Vice-Principal of Prince of Wales College St. John's NF. He was the District Administrator in NF for the Canada Department of Veteran's Affairs.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNVR 1928. He served in the Mersey Division RNVR 1928. He served in HMS Norfolk for the Abyssinian War 1935-36. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNVR. (Mobilized for World War Two service). He served in H.M.S. Norfolk (East Indies Station). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RNVR. (He was demobilized 1947). (Transferred to RCN(R)) He was appointed as a Commander RCN(R) 1949. He served in HMCS Cabot as Commanding Officer 1949-53 and 1956-1960. (He was released.)
