He came to Nefoundland from the UK in 1930. He wrote the section in the Official History of the RN dealing with the "Small Boats Pool." Afterwards he was the Vice-Principal of Prince of Wales College St. John's NF. He was the District Administrator in NF for the Canada Department of Veteran's Affairs. |

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNVR 1928. He served in the Mersey Division RNVR 1928. He served in HMS Norfolk for the Abyssinian War 1935-36. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNVR. (Mobilized for World War Two service). He served in H.M.S. Norfolk (East Indies Station). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RNVR. (He was demobilized 1947). (Transferred to RCN(R)) He was appointed as a Commander RCN(R) 1949. He served in HMCS Cabot as Commanding Officer 1949-53 and 1956-1960. (He was released.) |
