Bill Clearihue reports: "In Oct 1965 he ran as a Federal Liberal for the Manitoba Riding of Selkirk, but lost. Campaigning with him was his uncle, Stuart Garson former Manitoba Premier. The day after his death MB Premier Gary Filmon rose in the house to shower accolades on Graeme Garson, followed by a number of Ministers doing the same. His uncle, Stuart Garson, from whom one of his given names presumably derives, was besides a Manitoba Premier, a Louis St Laurent Cabinet Minister." |
