Biography
When he joined the navy he was a student living in Toronto ON.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/07/1940). He served in HMCS Stadacona 1940. He was appointed to H.M.S. Raleigh (Officer Training Establishment) (Mess 38 Essex) in 1941. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #23 Pilot Training Course 1941. He was appointed as an A/Leading Airman RCNVR 1941. RAF Luton for #14 Elementary Flying Training School 1941. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1941. He served in H.M.S. Daedalus for Training. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 06/10/1941). He served in H.M.S. Landrail for 772 RN Squadron 1942. He served in H.M.S. Grebe for 775 RN Squadron 1942. He served in H.M.S. Kipanga and H.M.S. Kilela for 795 RN Squadron 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (Appointed 04/06/1943) (With seniority dated 31/12/1942). He served in 753 RN Squadron 1943. He served in HMS Asbury 1943. He served in USNAS Quonsett Point RI for 1830 RN Squadron as Pilot 1943.
