He was the third son of John and Elizabeth Georgeson. He joined the Union Steamship Company in 1910. In 1910 he served in the Camosun I as Mate. (In 1912 he was qualified as a Master Mariner (Passenger Coastal) #6848). He married Edith Dare. He served as Master in the Chasina, Camosun, Chilkoot, Catala and Cardena. He served in the Cardena as Master 1934. In 1934 he served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Merchant service Guild. (In 1935 he was qualified as a Marine Pilot.) |
