Biography
After his naval service he worked in a bank in Florida and took computer courses at Florida Tech. He worked with computers in Victoria BC 1970-4 and joined the BC Government in 1974 and managed Beautiful British Columbia magazine in the Ministry of Tourism. Retired 1989.

He was appointed as a AC 2/c Pilot Candidate RCAF (With seniority dated 01/05/1943). RCAF Brandon for Pre-flight Training 1943. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for Initial Flying Training 1943. He served in RCAF Verden for Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Gimli for Service Flying Training School. He was Awarded Wings 15/11/1944. (CFR). Pilot Officer RCAF 15/11/1944, (Transferred to RNVR 01/05/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 01/05/1945. He served in H.M.S. Macaw 1945, #9 AFU Ayre Scotland 1945, RAF Tern Hill for #5 AFU 1945. He served in H.M.S. Godwit for Instrument Flying Training 1945. He served in H.M.S. Macaw for Night Vision Training 1945. He served in H.M.S. Merganser for Fighter OTU 1945. He served in RNAS Rattray for 717 Squadron for Barracuda Conversion 1945. He served in H.M.S. Jackdaw for 747 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Seaborne for Demobilization 1946. Returned to Edmonton AB and worked as a pilot with Associated Airways 1946. (Transferred to RCNR 1946). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) 1946. (Short Service Appointment commencing 01/06/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1947). He served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of Flag Officer Atlantic Coast as Staff Officer (Air) and DDH Concept Hauldown Coordinator 1963. (He resigned 13/06/1968.)
