He was a student at McGill when he was recruited August 1915. He was awarded ACA Certificate 366 dated 08/12/1915. He was a graduate of Wright Flying School Dayton OH USA. |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 18/01/1916) in Ottawa ON. He sailed on 18/01/1916. He served in RNAS Felixstowe 1916. He served in RNAS Chingford 03/02/1916. He served in Cranwell 20/05/1916. He served in Felixstowe 03/07/1916. He Commanded #232 Squadron. He served in #4 Group. He served in Southeast Area 01/06/1918 - 28/02/1919. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. (Transferred to RAF 1918) (Transferred to RCAF).
