Biography
He was a student at McGill when he was recruited August 1915. He was awarded ACA Certificate 366 dated 08/12/1915. He was a graduate of Wright Flying School Dayton OH USA.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 18/01/1916) in Ottawa ON. He sailed on 18/01/1916. He served in RNAS Felixstowe 1916. He served in RNAS Chingford 03/02/1916. He served in Cranwell 20/05/1916. He served in Felixstowe 03/07/1916. He Commanded #232 Squadron. He served in #4 Group. He served in Southeast Area 01/06/1918 - 28/02/1919. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. (Transferred to RAF 1918) (Transferred to RCAF). He served as Director Canadian Air Force 1922-24. He served as the Director Civil Government Air Operations 1927-30. He served as the Senior Air Officer RCAF 1930. He served as the Commanding Officer Canadian Military District at Regina. He served as the Commanding Officer Canadian Military District at Winnipeg MB. (He retired in 1939.)
