He was appointed as a Chief Petty Officer RCN. (CFR). He was appointed as a A/Commissioned Officer RCN. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Officer's Divisional Course. He was appointed as a Commissioned Officer RCN. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (LD) RCN(With seniority dated 01/01/1963). He served in HMCS Niobe. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (SD) RCN(With seniority dated 01/01/1968). Qualified for air electronics duties. (He was released.)
