He was a teamster at the time of his recruitment into the navy. He is commemorated at HASLAR ROYAL NAVAL CEMETERY E. 31. 5. United Kingdom.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNCVR. He died of wounds on March 31, 1918 when the hired drifter HM Drifter New Dawn was lost on March 23, 1918.
