Biography
After his naval service he worked for General Telephone as Field Engineer in Illinois. In 1968 he ran a machine shop in Chicago. In 1975 he owned a bicycle shop. He also worked for Aeromobile Inc. as a hovercraft development firm for 25 years. In 1980 he became the Emergency Measures manager at Berkeley CA. He was then the Mental Health Fiscal Administrator of Berkeley CA.
 
Military Service
(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 11/09/1955). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1955. He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1957). USN for Flying Training 1957. He was appointed as a A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1958). Awarded Pilot Wings 13/02/1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-881 Squadron 1959. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) (P) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1959). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1959. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1961). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1961. (Transferred to RCN(R) 10/09/1962). (He was released.)

Aircraft Flown Total Flying Hours: 1447. Total Fixed Wing Deck Landings: 18. Service Aircraft Flown: Fleet 80, T-34B, T-28B, S2F-1, CS2F-1, Harvard, C-45, HTL-6. He survived a crash on deck when ship 20 degrees out of wind picking up number one wire 15 feet off centre and hanging over port side held only by the hook.)
