Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 18/08/1943) (Later backdated to 1942). He served in RNAS St. Merryn. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 759 RN Squadron HMS Vulture 1945.

He was killed in a flying accident at RNAS Yeovilton UK on 19/05/1945 when he attempted a forced landing after his engine failed in bad visibility and crashed near Wellington, Somerset.
