He served in the First Contingent CEF as an Armoured Car Officer at Gallipoli. (Transferred to RNAS), He was appointed as an A/Flight Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS 29/09/1915). He served in RNAS Hendon for Flying Training 1915. He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 29/09/1915). He served in RNAS Felixstowe 1916, Trained as a seaplane pilot in the USA. He was appointed as a Flight Commander (Temp.) RNAS 31/12/1916. He served in RNAS Felixstowe 1916. (He sank two submarines in World War One.) |
