Biography
He was living in Windsor ON at the time of his recruitment. He was qualified as a mechanical engineer. He attended the University of Michigan to study Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. H ewas employed with the Detroit Edison Co. and in 1986 was the General Director of the Generation Engineering Department. (He retired in 1986.) He was a member of The Navy League of Canada and served as President of the Windsor Branch 1971-1983.

He was appointed as a Stoker 2/c (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR 1943. He served in HMCS Catarqui for UNTD 1943-1947. (CFR) He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (E) RCN(R) 1948. He served in HMCS Hunter 1948. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 19/07/1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 19/07/1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R). He was appointed as a Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/01/1965). He served in HMCS Hunter as Commanding Officer 1965-1968. (He was released.)
