Military Service
He served in the RCAF as a pilot. (Transferred to RNVR 1945). (He was released 1946). (Short Service Appointment commencing 01/06/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1947). He served in RCAF Trenton for Central Flying School for Flying Refresher Course 1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) for 18th Carrier Air Group as Pilot in 826 Squadron 1947. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Additional 1948. He served in HMCS Niobe for RN Courses 1949. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Photographic Officer 1949. He served in HMCS Magnificent and HMCS Shearwater in 825 Squadron 1950. He served in HMCS Magnificent and HMCS Shearwater for 881 Squadron 1951. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Junior Officer Technical and Leadership Courses 1952. He served in HMCS Micmac for Watchkeeping Certificate 1953. He served in HMCS Haida (Korean War Service) 1953. He served in NDHQ for RCAF Trenton For Flying Instructor Course 1955, (Selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1955). He served in HMCS Tecumseh for VC-924 (Reserve) Squadron as Resident Instructor and Staff Officer (Air) 1955. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1957. He served at the University of Southern California for Flight Safety Course 1958. (He was killed in a CS2F Tracker crash from HMCS Bonaventure at sea 12/12/1959.)
