Biography
He was living in Vancouver BC at the time of his recruitment. He studied at UBC 1965-68, earning a B.A. in English literature and history. Seminary training, earning the equivalent of an MDiv., was at the Episcopal Theological College, Cambridge, Mass. from 1968-1971. He was National President - Naval Officers Association of Canada (2005-2007) and President - Naval Officers Association of British Columbia and Chair - Board of Governors - Vancouver School of Theology. He was a parish priest for 30 years, including St. Augustine’s, Marpole and St. Philip’s, Dunbar in Vancouver. He retired Dec. 31, 2012 as a priest of the Anglican Diocese of New Westminster and its Executive Archdeacon.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1965. He served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD 1965-1967. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Training 1966. He served in HMCS Malahat for Training 1967. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1967. In 1968 he attended the Supply and Administration Course at CFB Borden. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1968. (He was released.)

Anecdotes
He served as an administrator of the Naval Officers Association of Canada’s Endowment Fund, helping to revive it from dormancy beginning in 1999.
