He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 1915). He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in RNAS Dunkirk 1917. He served in #3 (Naval) Squadron RNAS 1917. (He was wounded in action 23/09/1917.) (He was demobilized.)
