After his naval service he was a medical doctor in Toronto and Saskatchewan. He later moved to Pasadena Texas.

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 04/05/1950). He served in HMCS Unicorn 1949-1951. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1952. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1952). He served in HMCS Queen 1952. He served in HMCS Unicorn 1952. (He was retired 1954.)
