He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1963). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1964). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron as Pilot 1965. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1967). (Selected for permanent commission), MAJ (PLT) (With seniority dated 01/07/1974). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Colonel (PLT). He served in MARPAC HQ on Operations Staff. He served in Canadian Forces Language School for Language Training 1989. (He was released.)
