The Law Society of Upper Canada censured him for involvement in a series of 27 property flips, which cost the Royal Bank of Canada more than $458,000. Between December, 1996 and January, 2000, Toronto lawyer Alexander Havrlant, 66, acted in a series of what's known as "Oklahoma" property flips where a property is bought from an innocent vendor at market price and then resold at an inflated price. |
