He served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. (Transferred to RNAS 1915) He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS 1915. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served at RNAS Whiley Bay.
