He attended McGill University.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (COTC McGill University) (Transferred to RCNVR) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant RCNVR. In 1942 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 11/05/1943 later backdated to 1942). He served in #13 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in #14 Service Flying Training School. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/01/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated later backdated to 11/05/1943). In 1944 he served with the Royal Navy. (He was demobilized.)
