He was an accountant at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as an Assistant Paymaster RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/08/1917). In 1917-1918 he served in HMCS Stadacona as Additional. He served in HMCS Seagull (For duty with Captain of Patrols) 1918. (He was demobilized.)
