Biography

 

Military Service

(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1965). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) (With seniority dated 01/09/1965). He served in RCAF Centralia for Flying Training 1966. He served in RCAF Portage-La-Prairie for Advanced Flying Training 1966. (He was Awarded Wings 01/02/1967). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 08/07/1967). He served in Rivers MB for Primary Helicopter Training 1967. He served in HMCS Shearwater for HU-21 Squadron 1967. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 08/07/1967). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Venture and HMCS Annapolis for HS-50 Squadron 1967. He served in HMCS Shearwater for HT-406 Squadron. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Assiniboine for HS-443 Squadron. He was appointed as a Captain (PLT) (With seniority dated 01/09/1970). He served in CFB Greenwood for VP-405 Squadron. He served in CFB Winnipeg for Aerospace Systems Course 1983. He served in Maritime Air Group HQ as Aide de Camp to Lieutenant Governor. He was appointed as a MAJ (PLT) 1987. He served in CFB Toronto for Canadian Forces Staff College Course 1990. He served in CFB Esquimalt for HS-443 Squadron as Deputy Commanding Officer 1991, (Persian Gulf Service). (He died on April 29, 1994 near Saint John NB as the result of a Sea King accident.)
