Biography
He was the brother of Instructor Lieutenant Val Hinch RCN(R).
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF 1943. He served in RCAF Virden for Flying Training 1943. He served in RCAF Dauphin for Flying Training, (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in H.M.S. Bootle, RN College Greenwich, RAF Tern Hill, RAF Hinstock for Instrument Course. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 883 Squadron 1945, (Transferred to RCN(R) in 1945). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R). He served in HMCS Micmac as Deck Officer 1946, Resigned . Afterwards attended University of Toronto for Business Administration. (Transferred to RCAF Reserve 1951). He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RCAF (Aux) 1951, 400 RCAF Squadron 1951. (He was retired 1955.)
