Biography
He was a telephone wireman at the time of his recruitment into the navy. After his naval service he was a 4th Class stationary (stationary & refrigeration) engineer. He worked on Great Lakes on ships and at mines.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNCVR. He served in HMCS Victor. (He was demobilized).

Anecdotes
He was a bachelor. He spent a number of years in the West. He served in a defence plant during the Second World War. He lived in Port Arthur for a number of years but returned to P.E. County for his last five years. He worked in 1900 Point Traverse Cheese Factory; 1902 Union Vale Cheese Factory 1941 Upper Seine Gold Mines Ltd; 1947-1954 Port Arthur Arena Co Ltd.; 1956 Mowbray Foods Ltd.
