Military Service
He was appointed as a Temporary Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant RNVR (With seniority dated 29/10/1939). In 1939 he served in HMS Resource. In 1940 he served in HMS Stag. He was appointed as a Temporary Paymaster Lieutenant RNVR (With seniority dated 04/01/1941). He was appointed as a Temporary A/Lieutenant (SB) RNVR (With seniority dated 04/01/1941). In 1943 he served in HMS Nile. He was appointed as a Temporary Lieutenant RNVR (With seniority dated 03/01/1941). In 1944 he served in hMS Loch Inch. In 1945 he served in HMS Sennen. (Transferred to RN) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RN (On Emergenct List 21/02/1947 with seniority dated 04/01/1941). (Transferred to RCN(R) 30/10/1950) He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/10/1950). (Transferred to RCN) 1951. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 02/05/1951). He served on the Training Staff (East coast) for the University Naval Training Division (UNTD) 1954. He served in NHQ on Attachment to the Military Component Canadian Delegation Viet-Nam (ICCS) 1954. He served in CFHQ on Attachment as Secretary of the Personnel Members Committee 1959. He served in HMCS Donnacona as Staff Officer Administration. (He was retired 05/07/1964.)
