Biography
After his naval service he joined the Public Service in Program Branch of DND. He retired in 1988 as DND Chief of Program.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCN (With seniority dated 29/08/1945). He served in the Royal Roads (RCNC) for Training 1945. He was appointed as a Midshipman (L) RCN (With seniority dated 03/07/1947). He served in University of British Columbia for Electrical Engineering 1949. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (L) (Temp.) RCN. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Divisional Course 1950. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1950). He served in HMCS Stadacona for Long Electrical Course 1950. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/12/1950). He served in USNAS Jacksonville for Air Specialization 1950, USN Naval Air Technical Training Centre Memphis TN for Electrical Training 1951. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VF-870 as Air Electrical Officer 1952. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for VS-881 Squadron as Electrical Officer 1954. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VX-10 Squadron as Project Electrical Officer 1955. He attended the Massachussetts Institute of Technology for Post Graduate Training 1956-58. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/08/1957). He served in HMCS Terra Nova as Electrical Officer. He served in HMCS Niobe as Deputy Naval Liaison Officer. He served in HMCS Naden for Naval Technical School as Officer-in-Charge. He served in NDHQ for Secondment to Department of Transport. He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1963). He was appointed as a Captain (MARE) (With seniority dated 01/07/1972.
