Biography
In 1956 he graduated from UBC with a BA. In 1960 he was appointed as a Foreign Service Officer. He was a Canadian Embassy Representative in Saigon during the Viet Nam War as Commissioner to Viet Nam and Laos and the ICSC. In 1982 & 1983 he was the was Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon & Syria.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1953. In 1953-1956 he served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (On the retired list) (With seniority dated 25/07/1958). (He was released.)
