Biography

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman (Temp.) (UNTD Officer Candidate) 1943. In 1943 he served in HMCS Discovery for UNTD 1943. (Transferred to RCNVR) (CFR) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 18/06/1944). He served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) 1944. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 26/11/1944). He served in HMCS Stratford 1945, Grou 1945. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #85 Observer's Course 1945. He served in RNAS Arbroath for Observer Training. He served in RNAS Rattray for 753 RN Squadron 1946. (He died in a flying accident at RNAS Rattray on 08/02/1946.)
