He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RCN 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater. He served in HMCS Magnificent. He served in HMCS Bonaventure. He served in HMCS Ottawa. He was appointed as a Chief Petty Officer RCN. (He was released 1973).
