Anecdotes
Joy Davis (Email to Nauticapedia 30/01/2018) stated "My grandfather, Harry St. Clair Jellett owned Cresset from 1952 until his death in 1957. Grandpa, who was an active member of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (and skippered Westward Ho in the 2nd Swiftsure), purchased Cresset from Wavell and Victoria Urry in 1952. Grandpa took Cresset up to Haida Gwaii on at least one occasion, probably in the summer of 1954 to visit my family as my Dad was Superintendent at Moresby Camp in Cumshewa Inlet. He also set off for Hawaii, although a problem with his vision forced the crew to return after several days out. He lived aboard for much of this time between 1952 and 1957 since he was retired from his position as skipper of the BC Standard. He died of natural causes aboard the boat while moored at RVYC Coal Harbour docks."
