His home was in Westmount where he worked as a business manager at the time of his recruitment. He attended the Curtiss Flying School, Toronto ON, 19 July 1916. |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 19/07/1916) in Ottawa ON. He arrived in UK, 27/08/1916. He served in RAF Cranwell 11/12/1916. He trained at Crystal Palace. He served in RNAS Chingford, RNAS Freiston and RNAS Manstone (50 hours). He served in RNAS Dunkirk 04/04/1917. He served in #7 (Naval) Squadron 09/04/1917. He served in RNAS Coudekerque 26/04/1917. He served in #15 (Naval) Squadron. Reported on operations from early July 1917 to December 1917; to Group Pool, 1 July 1918. He was missing (POW) 03/10/1918. He was reported as a prisoner 14/11/1918. He was repatriated 17/01/1919. (He was demobilized.) |
