Biography
He was a school teacher at the time of his recruitment into the navy.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNCVR. He was appointed as an Able-Seaman RNCVR. (Transferred to RNAS 1917) He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in RNAS Chingford. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS.

Anecdotes
