Military Service

He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1952. In 1952-1953 he served in HMCS Chippawa for UNTD. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 07/04/1952). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R). (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (CND) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 09/08/1954). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1967). (He was released.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
