Biography
He graduated from Teachers College in Ottawa ON June 1943. Afterwards he taught elementary school. After his naval service he was a Work Study Specialist at the Atlantic Management Training Centre and Executive Director of same 1982.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF (With seniority dated 01/06/1943). He served in the RCAF for Flying training. He was Awarded Wings 1944. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF 1944. (He was demobilized 1944). (Transferred to RNVR 30/09/1945). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) RNVR 30/09/1945, (Transferred to RCNVR 01/12/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 30/09/1945). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR 06/03/1946. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Section Dartmeouth in 743 Squadron 1947, (Short Service Appointment commencing 09/09/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 06/03/1946). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Barracks Halifax for RCN Air Section (Dartmouth) in 825 Squadron 1948). He served in NHQ on Staff of Directorate of Naval Aviation as Staff Officer (Operations and materiel Requirements) 1950. He served in HMCS Shearwater on Staff of School of Aircraft Maintenance 1952. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Junior Aviation Officer's Basic Training Course as Course Officer 1953, (Selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 06/03/1954). In 1954 he served in HMCS Cornwallis as Course officer Junior Aviation Officer Program. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Depot as Staff Officer (Air Personnel) 1956. He served in HMCS Prevost for University of Western Ontario for Post Graduate course in Business Administration 1958. He served in NDHQ on Staff of Directorate of Naval Organization 1960. He served in HMCS Niobe for Service With RN at RN School of Work Study 1963. He served in NDHQ in Directorate of Naval Organization and Management 1960. He served in HMCS Niobe on Exchange With RN in School of Work Study as Practicioner and Instructor 1963. He served in HMCS Stadacona for HMC Dockyard as Staff Officer Management and Finance 1965. He served in HMCS Stadacona for No.1 Management Study Unit 1966. (He was retired 01/10/1967.)
