H ewas qualified as a lawyer. H ewas appointed as Dean - Faculty of Law - University of Alberta (1976 - 1986).

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 02/01/1955). He served in HMCS Nonsuch for UNTD 1954-1957. H ewas appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) 1957. In 1957 he served in HMCS Scotian. (He was released 1960c.)
