Military Service

He enlisted in the RCNVR as an Ordinary Seaman RCNVR on 16 September 1940. He was appointed as an Ordinary Telegraphist RCNVR 1941. In 1941 he served in HMCS Quinte. (Transferred to RCN) He served in HMS Witherington. He served in HMCS Bellec hasse. He served in HMS Campania. He was appointed as a Leading Telegraphist RCN (with seniority dated 25/02/1945). He served in HMCS Warrior. In 1947 he served in HMCS Rockcliffe for HMC ML-124. He was Honourably Released on 04 Nov 1947.
