He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RN (With seniority dated 01/06/1943). He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #57 Pilot Training Course. He served in RCAF Goderich 1944, #12 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School. He served in RNAS Dundee. He served in RNAS Hinstock. He served in RNAS Yeovilton. He served in RNAS Ceylon. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent, 827 RN Squadron, Middle East. He served in RNAS Stretton. (He was retired 1950.
