Biography
He joined the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) as a Technician in 1958. He managed the CSA Vancouver Testing Lab in 1965 and was the CEO of the national operation from 1974 to 1999 (H.Q.'d in the Greater Toronto area). In 1999 the CSA created a Scholarship in his name at the University of Guelph, as a retirement present. In 1997 the University of Guelph awarded him an Hon LL.D.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1951. He served in HMCS Cabot for UNTD 1951. He was appointed as an Ordnance Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1954). In 1951-1955 he served in HMCS Cabot. (He was released.)
