Biography
He underwent university training and medical school at Queen's University. He was appointed in 1974 as Associate Fellow of the American Aerospace Association 1974. After his naval service joined the Canadian Pension Commission (DVA) as a Medical Advisor 1980. Later promoted to Chief Medical Advisor 1984. Then worked in Surgeon General's Office as Medical Advisor in Directorate of Treatment Services. (He was retired 1992.)

He served in the Canadian Army 1942-46. (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Surgeon Sub-Lieutenant RCN 1948. He was appointed as a Surgeon Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 15/07/1948). He served in HMCS Donnacona for Interning at Montreal General Hospital 1952. He served in HMCS Stadacona 1953. He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Officer's Divisional Course 1953. He served in USNAS Pensacola for Residency in Aviation Medicine 1957. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Medical Officer 1959. He served in HMCS Niagara for USN Diving Medicine Course 1961. He served in HMCS Niagara for Staff of Canadian Defence Liaison Staff (Washington) 1962. He was appointed as a Surgeon Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1966). He served in CFB Camp Borden for Senior Field Officer Course 1966. He served in CFB Toronto as Commandant of Central Aircrew Medical Board 1966. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Principal Medical Officer 1967. He served in CFB North Bay as Command Surgeon Air Defence Command 1969. He was appointed as a Surgeon Captain 1969. He served in CFB Winnipeg as Command Surgeon Training Command. He served in CFB Winnipeg as Command Surgeon (Air Command) Prairie Region. He served in CFHQ as Director Medical Plans and Requirements 1976. (He was retired 1978. (He was certified as a Specialist in Aviation Medicine in 1970.)
