Biography
His home was in Fergus, Ontario (he was a student, University of Toronto) at the time of his recruitment. He attended the Curtiss Flying School in Toronto ON 1915.
 
Military Service
He served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. (Transferred to RNAS) He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 14/12/1916) in Ottawa ON. He travelled to serve with the RNAS, UK, 14/01/1917. He served in RNAS Calshot 24/09/1917. He served in RNAS East Fortune 29/10/1917 (special flying with fleet). He served in HMS Campania 07/11/1918; to unemployed list, 23/02/1919.
