Biography
After his naval service he joined Fison Airwork in Nigeria 1957-60. Then Worldwide Helicopters in Bolivia 1960-81. Kenting Helicopters in Greenland and Mid-Canada 1961-64.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Leading Aircraftman (Y-Scheme) RNVR. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent 1942. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #47 Pilot Training Course. He served in RCAF Elmdon for #14 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF for #31 Service Flying Training School #89 FAA Course 1943. (CFR). He was appointed as a Midshipman (A) (Temp.) RNVR, RAF Perth for 9(P) AFU 1944. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for #1 NAIFS 1944. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in H.M.S. Biter for 811 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Vindex for 811 RN Squadron 1944, 760 RN Squadron for #2 RP Course 1944. He served in H.M.S. Vindex and H.M.S. Campania for 825 RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Campania for 825 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Henstridge for Air Photo Reconnaissance Course 1945. He served in H.M.S. Trouncer and H.M.S. Ravager for 889 RN Photographic Squadron 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in H.M.S. Puncher for 821 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS Machrihanish for 806 RN Squadron 1946. (He was released 01/11/1949.) He flew as a civilian IF instructor at Naval IF School Rochester Kent to December 1951. (He rejoined RN 01/02/1953). He served in RNAS Eglinton for #22 Pilot Training Course 1953. He served in H.M.S. Warrior and RNAS Lee-on-Solent for 825 RN Squadron 1953. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent as Staff Officer (Air) 1955. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for 705 RN Squadron for Helicopter Flying Training 1956. He served in RNAS Lossiemouth as Search and rescue Pilot 1956. He served in H.M.S. Albion for Ships Helicopter Flight 1957. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (A) RN (With seniority dated 01/01/1957). (He was retired 01/06/1957.)
