He was appointed as a Lieutenant (S) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1956). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R). He was appointed as a Commander (NR). He served in HMCS Hunter as Commanding Officer 1971-1974. (He was released.)
