Military Service

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) 1951. (He was released.) (Short Service Appointment 14/08/1956). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1955). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 11/05/1959). (Selected for permanent commission). He served in HMCS Granby 1965. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1966). (Transferred to Naval Reserve). He was appointed as a Commander (NR) 1982. He served in HMCS Brunswicker as Commanding Officer 1982. (He was released.)
