Biography
After his naval career he flew charter flights, highway patrols, med-evac flights, and 2,030 round trips to Sable Island. Then he flew for the Government of Nova Scotia as pilot for the Premier of Nova Scotia.

He was appointed as a AC 2/c RCAF (With seniority dated 26/03/1943). (With seniority dated #1 Manning Depot Toronto ON 1943. He served in #1 Service Flying Training School 1944. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF 1944. RCAF Dunnville ON as Flying Instructor 1944. Flying Officer RCAF (With seniority dated 05/11/1944). (Transferred to RNVR 10/06/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 10/06/1945, 785 (E) RN Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Condor for 803 Squadron (Seafire) 1945. He served in RNAS Arbroath for 883 (Seafire) Squadron 1945, (Transferred to RCN(R) 01/06/1946). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/03/1946).
