He attended McGill University in Engineering.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as an Ordibary Seaman (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/02/1943). In 1943 he served in HMCS Donnacona for UNTD. (CFR) He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 02/02/1944). In 1943 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 08/04/1944). In 1944 he served in HMCS Fort Ramsay. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 17/07/1945). In 1945 he served in HMCS Fort Giffard. (He was demobilized.)
